BRINGING CHARACTERS TO LIFE, THROUGH MOVEMENT
The StoryBook Project is all about bringing books to life. It can cater for any age. It can be an creative inspiration to follow a narrative, moving through the story and using the plot and pictures to enhance a choreographic idea.
Movement workshops can be used to increase movement memory, understand the idea of sequence or order, engage the imagination and find a connection between a world of words and pictures and movement.
It is about discovery, independance and confidence.
Goose is a loveable, likeable bird. He is highly curious, slightly clumsy and very silly, but with a VERY big heart. Goose loves to explore and cant help jumping webbed feet first into things, sticking his beak into unusual places or testing the water. Come on a journey with Goose as we go through our numbers up to ten, jumping in puddles at number four, wiggling our tails at number six and growing flowers at number 8. Who will you find along the way? Is there someone in your bucket? Can you reach number ten?
There is a huge amount of adevntures that you can go on; Goose at the beach, Goose goes shopping, Happy Birthday Goose! and even, Wild goose! Choose a book and a movement workshop can be created just for you.
Have fun throughout the workshop with your props, remembering movements that are connected to the story, working with your friends and using your imagination to discover the world that Sophie and Goose love.
Each workshop, delivered by a professional instructor includes a Sophie & Goose badge for every child to take home and PDF worksheets. Please contact Charlie for more information.
'I was delighted when Charlie asked if she could use Sophie and Goose in the Storybook project. To be able to use the characters to educate children, but in a really fun way, is wonderful. Charlie's workshops will bring the characters, and stories, to life through movement and fun, with the bonus of nurturing children's confidence and skills in maths, movement and also social skills such as sharing and play.'
