BRINGING CHARACTERS TO LIFE, THROUGH MOVEMENT
NEW ADVENTURES IN DEVON
Charlie is currently working as Assistant Director for the third years production of Stoning Mary at the Plymouth Conservatiore. She is also teaching movement workshops alongisde rehearsals and supporting the Director, Lucy Hirst, in devloping the physicality framework for the piece.
You will also find her working very hard with another artist, Ashleigh Edwards in a collective called By Design Theatre. We are currently working with AGE UK Plymouth, Take A Part and Mayflower 400 Vital Sparks Fund.
Charlie is also writing her first story which she hopes, she can turn into a play and tour in rural areas across Devon and Cornwall with the aim to bring insight into mental health and our coping mechanisms.
"Charlie is a vivacious and compassionate artist that intelligently weaves the needs and abilities of her participants into her work. Her wealth of experience as a youth worker in combination with her fierce drive for professionalism and artistic integrity is a joy to behold. She is hungry to collaborate and consistently opens herself up to new opportunities. Her work is organic and always stems from a people-centred process. I have never known an assistant to give more of themselves to a project. I adored my time working alongside Charlie and I am eager to see where her unwavering dedication and flare leads her next – big, bold, and beautiful things, I’m sure!"
